Van Lieu Photography is located on Nantucket Island. Photographers Dirck and Sharon Van Lieu specialize in landscapes and documentary work. They also offer architectural and commercial photography through their business – Nantucket Architectural Photography. Dirck and Sharon are year-round islanders and share a passion for photographing the island of Nantucket and capturing its fragile beauty. Their documentary erosion work has been on the front page of the Boston Globe, in a program about beach erosion on NECN, and has been used by educators, engineers and scholars and presented in professional seminars around the country.
Print Information
Photographs are pigment on paper and most are printed by the photographers. We use baryta or cotton rag papers by the finest paper manufacturers. We work with Nantucket Frameworks on-island for custom framing.
Because individual monitors can change the appearance of a photograph from one system to the next, we can provide small print samples. If you are on Nantucket, we will bring our portfolio to your home.
Our folios are offered in two styles. Smaller folios are in archival paper folios. Larger folios are in linen covered book board. They are all 11 x 8.5 inches. Image size is approximately 9 x 6 inches. Each folio includes a signed cover sheet and a statement about the work.
We are available for commission work. Previous commissions have included four-season shoots of properties. We enjoy a challenge so let us know what you have in mind.
